La Buena Vida / The Good Life Video Archive

| WEB |

Commissioned by Art In General, the internet video archive for La Buena Vida/The Good Life adds a participatory element that extends the depth of artist Carlos Motta's project: 360+ video interviews with people from Latin America regarding US intervention and democracy. Our challenge was to translate Motta's video project into an internet archive that would conceptually carry the essece of his project. We took inspiration from the installation of La Buena Vida/The Good Life at the ICA in Philadelphia and created a quilt of the video thumbnails that can be filtered through by selected criterias. Thous creates an interactive visual charts which echos the physical presence of the work at the same time.

La-Buena-Vida.info was included in NET WORKS: Case Studies In Web Art and Design by Xtine Burrough.
